We always think of light as an external factor, something we turn on with a switch or using a flashlight when it's dark outside. But light is the first word I think of to associate with a description of the soul. It's easy to walk around day by day through the same routine, neglecting our inner self. This set of images is an expression of the transition from body to soul. The first is simply a stagnant being in regards to having no connection to soul. It then moves to the transition stage, beginning to fade away from the physical body we associate ourselves with and therefore becoming more intact with the true essence. The final stage is reaching core, becoming the very essence of soul by losing attachment to body and ego, or in other words, enlightenment.
Light lies not somewhere we can grab, but within our own selves. We are energy, we are light. No matter how well we are at hiding it from ourselves at times, it is always there throughout our transitions in life. We decide how dim or bright our light to be. But always know, you are light.
